Stories from the amazing people I meet driving a launch on the Boston Harbor. My role is to take visitors and regulars to the seaside hotspots in the City. As a professional captain, I drive all manner of watercraft from private yachts to speedy ferries to charter fishing boats. One thing is for certain; I meet the most interesting people aboard The Launch. Here are some of their tales…

But first a little saltwater housekeeping. A launch is a small boat, usually less than 30 feet in length, built to serve as a taxi on the water. The ones I drive seat up to 18 people with bench seats running lengthwise on each side of the boat facing each other. All the stories I’ll share are true.
